 Morocco : Climate

The greater part of the country is mountainous and has a continental climate. Wide temperature fluctuations can be observed between winter and summer as well as between days and nights. Beyond the Atlas, the climate becomes Sahara.

The Mediterranean climate, which is dominant in the country, is tempered in the west and north-west by the Atlantic Ocean. Inland, the climate is more continental with important temperature variations. The Atlas zone is humid with frequent snow falls in the winter time. The South-Eastern religion of the Kingdom has a desert climate.
