Modeling workshop

FITNESS 2002, a 10-day modeling and grooming workshop organized by Modescheuen Events, will be held from August 20 to 30 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Dubai.

Leading professionals from the Indian modeling and glamour industry will offer free tips, advice and training to all the participants during the workshop.

Speaking about the project, Shekhar Rahate of Modeschauen Events said: "This is the first of its kind modeling and grooming workshop that will be held in Dubai. It will be led by a panel that has been instrumental in grooming several beauty queens from India."

"Only 20 participants measuring over 5.5 inches height will be selected for tone workshop.," he point out.

The 10-day exercise will be the first concrete step for participants to learn the ropes of modeling from experts who have been specially flown into Dubai.

The panel includes illustrious names such as Nayanika Carterjee, ace model who also trained Miss India Femina and Elite Look of the Year contestants.

She will train the aspirants on the art of walking the ramp, the poise, posture and ramp attitude all of which are necessary to win pageant.

Dabboo Ratnani, a leading glamour photographer from India, will help participants do their modeling portfolio. While, Shernaz Patel, well known filmmaker, television, cinema and stage artist will train them to improve their diction and voice modulation.

Besides Lovely Raghunath, a dietitian and nutritionist from Welcare Hospital, will inform participants about the right diet and nutrition formulas to be followed along with tips for a daily workout.

The 10- workshop will be held daily between 5.30pm and 10.30pm and will culminate with a fashion show in which all the participants will get an opportunity to display their newly acquired skills.

The event will be sponsored by the cosmetic company Fair and Lovely in Association with 106.2 Hum FM, ARY Digital Channel, Khaleej Times and supported by Media Concepts, Puranmal Restaurant, Air India among others.
