Television Broadcasting:

Moroccan TV officially started in 1962. It covers 84 % of the National territory and 95% of the population

At the beginning, programs broadcast 6 hours a day during the week and about 8 hours a day during the week-end and holidays. Today, programmes are broadcast daily and can be received in most areas without the help of decoders or satellite antennas. They are broadcast on EUTELSAT 2 and seen by millions around the world.

TV Private Station:

M2, the country's only private station, was purchased by the government in 1996, when its attempt to bring "pay service" television to the country failed.

The TV stations broadcast in Arabic and French languages, in color (SECAM-PAL).
